These Clearance Peels…

…are perfectly useable but may have marks or discoloured patches in the natural wood. Large knots in the wood may have been patch repaired for a smooth surface.

*It is enevitable that products made from natural materials vary. Clearance Items like these didn’t quite make the cut. It seems such a waste to throw them out though, and they’ll still help you make great bread. Perhaps you can give them a new home.

These peels are made for loading LONG loaves from your oval banneton baskets and measure approximately:

37cm long, 15cm wide and 4mm thick.

For round loaves you’ll need something a little wider.

Care & Maintenance

Avoid water when cleaning these and instead remove excess dough with a dough scraper and excess flour with a brush just like your banneton baskets.

They will arrive to you in their natural, unfinished state and can be treated with a food grade mineral oil for a more hard-wearing finish if you wish!

These are not designed for extended exposure to the heat of your oven or for use as a cutting board.
