Learn to make great tasting "real" bread this year
Happy new year!
This is the first brand new course of 2018 and what a great place to start. If you are a beginner this course will introduce you to a real variety of proper breads that sit MILES above their supermarket cousins, and if you are already a confident home baker you'll learn plenty of new techniques when adding these breads to your repertoire.
In your own kitchen, you'll learn to bake four deliciously wholesome, "real" breads to kick off your year of eating well.
Together we'll bake:
Polar Breads - perfect for light sandwiches and freeze really well
100% Wholemeal Spelt Loaf - A golden stonebaked loaf, bursting at the seams
Seeded Sandwich Loaf - For day to day toasting and sandwich making
A fresh herb flatbread - with a little fresh chilli kick
Your breads will be accompanied by a selection of wholesome salads and filling ideas to keep you going through the year...
What happens on the day?
I will arrive at your house with all ingredients and equipment we need, and set up for our day of baking bread.
We'll make our doughs all together and put them to one side while we have a cup of tea and a biscuit. The dough will rest nicely, and we'll have some time to prepare a selection of super tasty dishes and accompaniments together.
Then, as we take the lids off the dough we'll see how much they have grown! We'll get to work shaping up all our breads together, and let them prove up once more. While they are baking I will take care of the finishing touches for your lunch or supper.
Together we'll set the table ready for a delicious tasty meal with all your fresh breads too.
I will tidy up everything, making your kitchen spick and span as if nothing ever happened!
Course duration: 4.5-5 hours hands-on
£349 for up to four people, plus a little for travel.
Additional guests are very welcome at only £25 per person
