In 2013 I created the original Bake with Jack experience
A private bread making course just for you, your friends and family, in your own home. A great way to celebrate a special occasion or simply to spend some quality time together. Spend the day making bread with those closest to you, and relax at the end with a delicious meal to bring everything together.

In the example courses that follow you’ll make a selection of breads along a particular theme, or if you’d like to mix it up, you can go bespoke.
I’ve designed a menu to celebrate the breads you’ll make on each of the courses. It'll be a selection of tasty dishes to bring everything together nicely and we’ll make them together too, sharing new ideas and cheffy techniques to really make your bread the star of the show.

Bespoke Courses & Sourdough
If there is something you’d like to bake that’s not in these example courses, a bespoke course can be arranged for you. Breads like Sourdough, 100% Rye Bread, and many other more advanced breads can absolutely be incorporated into a course that suits you, and we’ll have a chat about exactly what we can do on the day.

Courses start at £595 for up to four people, plus a little for travel.
Guests are very welcome at an additional £50 per person
Recommended for 2-8 people
If you have a group larger than 8 people it'll change the structure of your course, get in touch and we can discuss what will work best for your group.
How does it work on the day?
I will arrive at your house with all ingredients and equipment we need, 30 minutes before the start of your course. Then I'll set up everything ready for your day of baking bread.
We'll make our doughs all together and let them rest. After a cup of tea and a homemade biscuit we'll have a little time to prepare the various salads, dressings, marinades, cheeses and meats for your meal. We can do this part together if you like, or if you'd prefer to relax and watch, it can be more of a cookery demonstration.
Then, we'll uncover our dough to see how much they have grown! You'll shape up all your breads together, topping and filling if we need to, and set them aside to prove up once more. While they are proving and baking I will take care of the finishing touches for your lunch or supper.
You'll sit down and enjoy your meal served with your bread fresh from the oven, and before I leave I'll tidy up everything, making your kitchen spick and span as if nothing ever happened, and leaving you with the recipes for next time.
