September in the HomeBaker’s Club…
Hey Homebaker!
Hello HomeBaker!
Oh wow I can’t believe the coffee bread and grissini recipes were a whole month ago!
This month two rather contrasting breads, probably the easiest artisanal loaf and a quick flash in the pan corny number…
No Knead Artisan Batards
Here’s one for those days where you are about the house. With minimum effort you can create artisanal breads like these without even kneading, instead, you’ll be getting plenty of practice building structure by folding the dough at various stages and shaping these two loaves. It’s a great one for part baking and freezing which I’ll go through with you, meaning you can have a warm from the oven Batard at the drop of a hat whenever you need it.
Polenta Wraps
A quick one as bread goes… polenta brings a unique corny flavour and golden hue to these pan fried wraps. They’re really straightforward to make, stackable, freezable and there for you whenever you ned them. Take your time rolling them out nice and thin and then they’ll be “baked” in only 45 seconds per side. As home bakers it’s nice to have a few fast recipes like these in our pocket, and they’re pretty tasty too.
And in the “with bread” section…
The highly requested Quick Pickled Celery and a quick and tasty lunch Pan Fried Chorizo and Tomato Wrap with Parsley and Peas.
This month’s recipes join all the previous recipes in the Homebaker’s Club today!
Have fun and I’ll see you in class :-)
